Quotes, Prices and Paying
Money questions first, because nobody wants a surprise on the invoice.
How do your quotes work?
We look at the job, explain what's involved, then give you a fixed price before anything starts. There's no verbal ballpark that changes later. You see the number, you approve it, and that's what lands on the invoice.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Getting a plumber out to look at the problem costs nothing, and there's no obligation to book the work afterwards. You only pay once you've approved a price you're happy with.
Do prices change once the job starts?
No. Once you sign off on the fixed price, it stays put no matter how long the repair takes on our side. The only time a new number appears is if you ask for genuinely extra work outside the original job, and you'd approve that separately too.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. It's a $0 Call Out Fee, every time, whether it's a daytime tap repair or a burst pipe at midnight. Having a plumber inspect the problem doesn't cost you a cent.

The Legal Side, Made Simple
Licensing questions come up a lot, and they're fair ones to ask.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every job carries NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and the work is fully insured. Ask to see the licence on the day if you'd like to check it yourself.
What is safe to try myself before you arrive?
For a burst pipe or major leak, turn the water off at the meter and switch off any power near water. For a blocked drain, stop running water and don't pour anything down it. If you smell gas, leave the property and call from outside. Beyond that, leave it to a licensed plumber.
Who can legally do gas work in NSW?
Only a licensed gas fitter, by law. A general handyman or a weekend DIY attempt isn't legal here, and getting it wrong is a genuine safety risk. Every gas job we take on is carried out by an appropriately licensed tradesperson.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
As a rule, you're responsible for the pipework from your house to your property boundary, and Sydney Water owns the main beyond that. If a blockage sits on your side, it's yours to fix. Unsure where the line falls? We'll pinpoint it for you on-site.

Speed, Hours and Booking
The questions everyone asks once the water's already on the floor.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water going where it shouldn't, or gas you can smell, both count. Think a burst pipe, an overflowing toilet, a household with no hot water at all, or any gas odour. A slow-dripping tap can wait for a booked slot; none of the above can.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes. Call any hour and you'll speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine. That includes weekends, public holidays and the middle of the night.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, with no separate emergency-only line to remember. Weekends and public holidays run on the same number and the same team as a Tuesday afternoon.
How does the callback form work?
Pop in a few details and we call back fast, day or night. It's a good fit for anything that can hold for a few minutes; if water's already spreading, phoning straight through is quicker.

The Bangor Side of Things
The last few, specific to this patch of the Sutherland Shire.
Why do Bangor's older homes keep us busy?
Much of Bangor was built out through the 1980s and into the 2000s, so a lot of original hot water systems and gas fittings from that era are now well past their working life. We see failures in exactly this stock more than anywhere else on our run.
Do tree roots really block drains around Bangor?
Regularly, and autumn is the season it shows up most. Homes here back onto heavy native bushland toward the Georges and Woronora rivers, and mature root systems find their way into clay and sewer lines on the larger blocks.
Do you work on Bangor's apartments and strata blocks?
Bangor itself is mostly detached houses on large blocks, so most of our local callouts are houses rather than strata schemes. Where a strata or townhouse job does come up nearby, the same licensed team and fixed-price approach applies.
How local are you to Bangor, really?
Bangor is part of our regular run, alongside the suburbs around it. That's plumbers who know Akuna Oval from Billa Road Oval and the pull of a ridge-top block, not a call centre reading a suburb name off a screen.
